For those who haven’t been to Iceland, let us be the first to tell you the weather is incredibly unpredictable and likes to show us several seasons on any given day. For this reason we are going to highlight some of the locations that we will be visiting for this trip, but the day we go to these locations will be decided as the trip gets going. We want to make this the best experience for everyone involved so much of our itinerary will be adjusted for the weather. We have a great ground and logistics team to make sure we can land in these amazing places and give you time to breathe them in and enjoy them.
So how it works for us is we pick a home base dropzone near our hotel where we work out of for each day. We take off from there and we land out at some of our amazing locations. For this even we will have 2 home drop zones and make a move mid-way through the event.
In addition, one of these locations will become our “Jump under the Midnight sun”, as it is Summer in Iceland and we will have very few, if any, hours of darkness.
Note: we will not make it to all these locations on the list and in some spots we will offer additional jumps at additional costs.
The Western locations, we are going to be calling Hella Airport home (Airport Code BIMM), just outside of Reykjavik. This airport was constructed for use by planes in World War II. It sits just outside the largest city in the north of Iceland.
Address: RJMC+WMM, 850 Hella, Iceland
With 24 hours of daylight in Iceland, sometimes we get the most amazing "sunsets" at these location!
This year we are going North & Central for our Iceland adventure. For our eastern sites we will be calling Melgerðismelar Airport home, just outside of Akureyri. Working out of the airports there we can look to hit up all our eastern landing areas.
Address: Latitude65.4832993. Longitude-18.1667004
All our possible Locations for this years event!
Under Construction - see map above
NOTE: All photos and materials of the property of their original owners, they are used here as examples of what you might encounter at each location.
These are ideal places we would like to jump, please note that all locations are subject to weather.
