Join us July 7th, 15th & 16th.
Back again by popular demand, the joy of skydiving will be available to Icelanders & visitors to Iceland - both tandems & licensed jumpers. For two weekends only we will be hosting a Skydive Iceland Tandem event, event airport location is back at the Hella, DZ. Individuals will be able to sign up and one of our amazing Tandem instructors will show you the joy & beauty of Iceland from the sky.
Location details to follow. Keep checking back.
Price for Tandem $650 USD
(Deposit of $100 to hold a slot)
*Note this for a general Iceland jump. If you want to do a tandem on the glacier, please contact us for pricing.
Upon arrival, you will check in and begin a short class and paperwork. This process generally only takes about 30 minutes and upon completion, you will be paired with your instructor to go over the entire skydive. We will have staggered arrival times to better accommodate schedules & decrease wait times, but this can be a most of the afternoon/evening process.
July 7th 2023 - times are TBD
July 8th 2023 - times are TBD
July 15th 2023 - times are TBD
July 16th 2023 - times are TBD
Please plan to stay out at the DZ for about 4-6 hours, this is a weather dependent sport & we will work around it as best we can.
All Tandems are taking off out of the Hella Airport & there is plenty of parking on property. However we don't have a lot of seating or food options on site. So we do recommend bringing some chairs and snacks.
Address: RJMC+WMM, Hella, Iceland
Next, you will be geared up and fitted with a state of the art harness system designed specifically for tandem skydiving and will then board a customized aircraft with your instructor. On the climb to altitude, you will enjoy captivating views of Iceland.
In freefall, have fun with your video! Smiles, funny faces, and general shenanigans are encouraged! This is your experience and we're here to make it as memorable as we can. It's your time to shine - get your smiles ready and geek at the camera. Bright colors are encouraged so that you stand out against the background.
We take the plane up to ~14,000 ft (4267M) so you have anywhere from 30-45 seconds of freefall.
When it’s time to deploy your parachute, the next part of the skydive begins. During a scenic 5-7 minute canopy ride back to the landing zone you will literally feel on top of the world as your instructor guides you to the ground. You can wave to your family and friends waiting in the spectator area as your instructor lands the parachute system. Before your feet even touch the ground, you'll be anticipating your next jump.
